What is Aarogya Setu App?
Aarogya Setu app is developed by the minister of Electronics and IT to help the citizens to identify the risk of Novel coronavirus Outbreak across the world. Aarogya Setu is a mobile application developed by the Government of India to connect with essential health services of Indian people. The aim of this app to reaching out to the maximum number of people across India. This app can be used by both Android as well as iPhone user. It is available in 11 languages and 10 Indian languages and English.
This Aaroya Setu App detects the other device with an installed app that has come in Bluetooth and location of your phone and cover this information. In an unfortunate case of your interaction with COVID-19 Positive, this app calculates the risk of infection-based proximity of your interaction and recommends suitable action to proceed with. This app keeps you updated on regular and in day to day activity.
How to use Aarogya Setu App?
Here is the step by step guide –
- Install the app from your play store & iPhone Store
- Turn your bluetooth on and allow it to access your device location.
- After installation it will ask to choose desired language
- Enter your phone number
- You will get an OTP. Enter it and you are on.
- Choose your gender
- Enter your personal details like Full Name, Age and Profession.
- You’ll be asked about your foreign travel history in last 30 days. Please provide the correct information.
- Always keeps ON your Bluetooth and location in your device which helps you to send a notification if interacted with someone or going through the Red zone area of COVID-19
- In case you are not safe then the aarogya setu app will suggest you to isolate and take necessary precautions.
- The app will also check the user’s location of around six feet, whether he or she was in the proximity of an infected patient by using the mobile Bluetooth.
- In case you are at a high-risk area then the app advises you to go for a test and call the toll-free number 1075 to schedule an appointment at the nearby testing centre.
- Invite your family and friends to install the app.

It has a tool for self-assessment. There are several questions for this test which can guide you with the symptoms and keeps you update. It will take less than 1 minute for self-assessment and will update you about the risk of COVID-19 to you. This server will help the government to take safety measure in a timely manner if necessary.

E-Pass
E-pass facility is also available here for your state or city which will going to open soon. Apply Here for E-pass, depending on your state’s website. The reason for e-pass needs to be defined with various personal information from the user such as photo ID proof, valid organisation documents, medical report, and company ID to be attached to the application. Once the application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the local police and then a pass will be issued. A unique token ID will be issued to the applicant.
